Exploring AI For The First Time

I've heard so much bad stuff about AI including seeing posts on social media from authors and artists who have had their work stolen. I'm trying to figure out how keep that from happening with the things that I am creating.

I use the free version of Canva for a lot of things and this morning I was going to write a blog post about my Thanksgiving dreams and I wanted a picture to go with it. I just couldn't find anything that suited me and so I finally decided to try generating something with AI. Wow, did I ever have some fun! I thought I'd make a blog post to share the things that were created for me. Some of the pictures were so beautiful that they almost made me cry...

Different Thanksgiving themed pictures...if you look closely you will see a lot of mistakes, even to the extent of pumpkins lighted like candles. I didn't notice the mistakes at first but looking at them the second time, I had to chuckle at some of them...

Then I tried a white and mint green with white pumpkins theme:

I love the mint green glasses...

Doesn't the top of the napkin on the plate look like a doll's face?

I love the plates...

I love these place settings.

Then I added peach to the mix:

Some of the pictures literally had peaches big enough for pumpkins.

A blue and white Christmas tablescape with silver accents:

A blue and white Christmas themed living room with silver accents:

I like the blue and white pillows.

A green and white Victorian style living room with silver accents:

I love the soft chairs.

I love the color of the wall...and the sofa...

I like the chandelier.

I love the soft green walls...

I like the rug and white furniture with green pillows...

I think this furniture is my favorite...I love the velvety green.

A pastel rainbow colored bedroom with a four poster bed:

I love the rainbow curtains...

I love the bench at the foot of the bed...

I love the colors around the bed and the seat...

I like this bed but especially the canopy...it might be possible to replicate...

I love the colors...

Just pastel colors:

I like this canopy too as well as what I imagine is to be a bench at the foot of the bed...

I love this bed.

With a metal four poster bed:

This one about made me cry. I love the bed and especially the covers! And the furniture...

Another beautiful bed but it needs a canopy and some curtains...

I love this bed!

Rainbow themed with plants:

I love the rug. I'd love to wriggle my toes in the fluffy pile...

I love the covers...

I love the rainbow colored walls!

I think this is my favorite bedroom of all because I love all the windows and especially the shape of them...I'd just add some long flowing curtains. ..

I like this bed even though it's a little wonky...1i lo

I love the brilliant curtains!

A blue and white kitchen with yellow accents...blue cabinets, white marble countertops, wood floors...I wanted it to have white and blue flowered wallpaper but I had trouble getting what I wanted...

Did you notice that none of the lights are the same?

No yellow accents:

With daffodils...I didn't ask for lemons though...

I like this wallpaper. ..

The daffodils make the space look so cheery!

Did you notice the daffodils growing out of the backsplash tiles?

This wallpaper is my favorite!

I like the open shelves with the blue and yellow dishes...

A garden of flowers with roses and ferns:

Waterfalls with mossy rocks and trees:

I am a visual person and I've been wishing I could find an app where I could create what my dream house would look like so I could know better what I like or don't like but I haven't been able to find anything. Perhaps AI will help me out. It definitely helps me now that I have a picture for some of the rooms in my dream house. Even though AI isn't always realistic, I see a lot of things I'd like to try.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed all these pictures and got a chuckle out of some of the AI mistakes...

Have you had a chance to try AI yet for anything? What was your experience like if you tried it? How many mistakes can you find? Please let me know in the comments...

I haven't really gotten into using AI at all; the only thing I tried it for was for editing pictures, and the results were a bit...disturbing. It had a setting where you could make the mouth of a person move, and if the person isn't alive anymore...😒 you get the idea!

Anyhow, I loved all those pictures; made me think of heaven in some ways.🙂 There weren't very many obvious mistakes; the funniest one I found was in the kitchen...I think the lemons were actually tulip buds!😆 I wish I could find an app like Canva, that would work on my laptop. It would be lots easier than making dollhouses, for sure!
